Smart: Journal of Media Communication and Social Dynamics (SMedia) is dedicated to promoting the broad dissemination of high-quality scholarly work in the fields of media studies, communication theory, and the societal impacts of digital technologies. In alignment with the principles of open science, all research articles, reviews, and theoretical contributions published in SMedia are made freely available to readers worldwide immediately upon publication. This policy ensures that authors’ findings reach the widest possible audience including scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and the general public without any access barriers or subscription fees.
Authors retain copyright of their work under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited. Users are allowed to share and adapt the published material for any purpose, including commercial applications, as long as appropriate credit is given to the authors and the journal.
