Smart: Journal of Global Islamic Studies and Social Science (SGISci) operates as a fully open-access publication, providing immediate and permanent access to its entire scholarly corpus without financial, legal, or technical barriers to the reader. In alignment with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition, SGISci permits users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of all articles, and to use them for any other lawful purpose, provided the original authorship is appropriately acknowledged and cited. By removing subscription hurdles, the journal facilitates the global dissemination of multidisciplinary research at the intersection of Islamic studies and social science, thereby fostering a more inclusive international academic discourse and ensuring that high-quality scholarship remains a public good available to researchers, practitioners, and policymakers worldwide.
